..: [ Mutiara Blend - Restaurant Review ] :..

Alhamdulillah, today I got the chance to eat out with my parents at Mutiara Blend, Penang. This is their FB Official Page. Restoran ni baru bukak, so this is my review of the newly opened restaurant.

Out of 5, I give 5 stars for their customer's service. Very friendly. Good job! Makanan depa tak dak la lewat sangat mai, tapi owner still mai kat kami said sorry, makanan lewat sikit dapat. So, okay what. Tempat lain dekat sejam tunggu pun tak mai say sorry ka apa kan. Even depa tersilap meja hantaq order, still smiling. Cuma... masa waitress serve our food, there's no tray. Cemana nak cakap eh? Waitress hidang dengan bawa pinggan macam tu ja, tak dak dulang apa buat alas. Even my parents tengok pun terdiam. Lama lepas tu baru komen. Haha. But basically, cara depa ni macam orang dah biasa kerja serving kat hotel dining room, my father said. Bagi Cleo, asal layanan tu mesra, I okay lah.

For hygiene of the store, 4 out of 5. Cutlery depa memang clean, tak nampak ada spots or apa-apa yang buat kita rasa nak pi basuh balik sebelum guna. But... I got a sticky glass for my limau ais. So for drinks, 2 out of 5. Please clean your hands or the glass before serving it to us. Tapi depa ni memang tak kedekut ayaq. Berbaloi lah dengan harga. Milo panas RM 4, limau ais RM 3.50, and air suam tiga kupang.

 
Ni saja nak tunjuk. Adik tu kreatif. Asalnya straw ni luar stirrer ni, tapi adik tu masukkan straw dalam dia, so straw tu tak bergerak pusing cawan. Well done! Gambar kanan tu credit for that creative boy ;)

For food, well. Kalau tengok menu dia, rasa macam nak order semua sekali! Rasa tak try satu, satu. Tapi beringatlah kita, membazir amalan syaitan.
Tengoklah menu dia ni. Aduyai. Meleleh ayaq liuq uuuuiii.

Okay, so untuk yang kami order malam ni, maybe 2 out of 5? Sorry to say but I am disappointed with the presentation. For a quite expensive dining place, there should be a better presentation for the food.

Okay, makanan. My mother ordered Bihun Goreng Vegetarian. And on the plate: a lump of bihun and a slice of cucumber. That's all. For RM 6.50. My mother said rasa dia okay. Sedap. So I guess okay lah. Tak teringat nak snap satu gambar pulak. Tapi, ha ha. Looks like bihun goreng bungkus, bawak balik rumah, bukak bungkusan letak atas pinggan. Ha ha.

For me? I ordered Chicken Grill. RM 18. The plate is like this. 


The chicken is well done, and alhamdulillah still ada juice dia. Tak kering macam sesetengah tempat. The sauce. Haaa. I asked for Bombay sauce. Masam-masam sikit, and nampak tak slices of red chillies tu? You have to eat them with the chicken to balance the taste of the sauce. And alhamdulillah depa ni tak kedekut sauce. Just enough untuk habiskan ayam tu. Coleslaw dia okay, tapi untuk orang yang tak suka onion, Cleo tak minat lah. But seriously taste dia okay. Then it came to the mashed potato. Huuuaaaa. Tawaq hebiaq. Ceroi. Even ada gravy dia, rasa gravy tu tak cukup untuk cover tawaq tu. There's something missing in that recipe. They need to revise the recipe. Seriously. But overall, 3 out 5 untuk this particular dish.

My father ordered Mandhy Rice Lamb, RM22. This is it.

Cili dia letak seketul-seketul beb. Teringat terus Cleo citer Pinocchio zaman kecik-kecik dulu. Kapten Hook makan cili sebijik-sebijik pastu keluaq api kot mulut dia. Hahaha.

 My father's comment:
Boleh tahan lah. Just nice. Mungkin kuantiti dia agak sikit. 
Tapi ni bila dah balik rumah. Nak taw dak ayat first masa kat sana tadi apa? Awat ada sambal belacan? Hihihihi. Cleo cakap dalam hati, maybe ni resipi Mandhy depa.

Oh yes! Kami ordered Mushroom soup tadi. Nice, sedap, secukup rasa. Garlic bread dia pun sedap. Tapi in my opinion, my brother's friend should sell her garlic bread recipe to them. Would be better. Azimah, jual recipe tu kat depa ni, please! Hihi.

Well then, like I said earlier, overall for food, 2 out of 5. Ntah lah, taste dia okay, sedap, tapi mungkin sebab presentation dia tu - buat rasa macam tak setanding dengan harga yang kami bayar. Cleo tahu, sekarang ni semua benda mahal. Orang akan cakap, nak murah buat sendiri. But come on man, berniaga kan. Nilai harga yang diletak perlu setanding dengan nilai produk yang serve pada pelanggan, if we really want regular customers. Regular customers ni lah yang akan bawa cerita kedai kita kat orang lain. 

Perbualan yang kita harap dari pelanggan should be like this:
"Awat hang suka pi tempat tu? Mahai!"
"Mahai tapi berbaloi dengan apa yang aku dapat."
Betoi dak? ;)

InsyaAllah, I would love to have dinner once again kat sini later on. Sebab layanan and kebersihan dia I suka. I would love to try out all of the dishes! So, hopefully there will be some improvement for them to match the price and the value of their products. Ganbattekudasai :)
